You will be working at the Amsterdam Business School (ABS) of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) of the University of Amsterdam (UvA). The ABS Master in Business Administration is internationally recognized with a triple-crown accreditation. It has about 3,000 full-time students and 120 FTE academic staff.
What will you be doing as a Teaching Assistant?
You’ll be the go-to support for the team. From organizing events to managing administrative work and coordinating education activities, you’ll play a key role in keeping everything running smoothly.
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Helping organize a conference from start to finish;
- Supporting the secretariat with administrative tasks;
- Coordinating educational programs (if confirmed);
- Communicating with team members and stakeholders;
- Working independently and delivering on your tasks reliably.
Preferred working hours:
Approximately 19 hours per week (ideally 3 to 4 hours each weekday), and after the first two months, hours will be arranged in consultation.
Starting per January until September 2026.
Your qualifications as the new teaching assistant
You’re reliable, organized, and work well independently. You enjoy being proactive and like getting things done.
- You’re currently pursuing a master’s degree at a Dutch university;
- You speak and write fluent English;
- You’re structured, proactive, and an effective communicator.
What the University of Amsterdam offers
This position falls under the Dutch University CAO (Collective Labour Agreement). The gross hourly wage is €20.66.
